  1. What server software are you running?
    We use Windows 2000 on our windows servers.
     
     
  2. Can I access my domain address with or without the "www"?
    Yes, you will be able to access the domain address with or without the "www" in front of the domain name. Example: [http://www.your-name.com] or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable, whichever you prefer.
     
     
  3. Do you offer dial-up Internet access?
    No, you will need local Internet access in order to maintain your web site and retrieve email addressed to your site.
     
     
  4. Can I transfer existing domain name to your servers?
    Yes, if you email us at support@quick-express.com  we will give you instructions on how to do this.
     
     
  5. How much do you charge for domain transfers?
    We do not charge for transfers.
     


     

  6. How long does it take before my domain name is active?
    Once the InterNIC announces that your domain name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable), it usually takes about 72-hours before it is active. All Internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect the new site's location.
     
     
  7. When I order who will the domain be registered to?
    We always register domain names to the person listed on the order form.
     
     
  8. How long does a domain name registration last for?
    For a .com .net or .org it is for the period you choose 1-10 years.
     


     

  9. Can I use my hosting account for commercial purposes ?
    Yes, you can use your account for commercial purposes. The World Wide Web has become the most efficient and cost-effective means of making information available to the users of the Internet community and we encourage our customers to utilise such an enormous medium
     
     
  10. What is the bandwidth allocation on your hosting accounts?
    We offer unlimited bandwidth for each of the user accounts. Don't worry about the traffic. Go ahead with your site promotion activities.
     
     
  11. Are there any hidden costs for the domain name?
    No! The price listed is the price that you will pay, all fees are included
     


     

  12. Which FTP software do you recommend?
    We recommend Cute FTP, or LeechFTP. You can download either one of these from http://www.download.com/

     
     
  13. I forgot my username and/or password. What should I do?
    Email support@quick-express.com and ask us for it. 
     
  14. Do your hosting accounts support SSI?
    Yes this is turned on by default.
     
     
  15. Do you provide any cgi-scripts with your hosting packages?
    Not at the moment but we do plan on adding some in the future.
     

     

  16. Do you support ASP?
    Yes, our windows server supports ASP scripts. file extension of ASP script should be ".asp".
     
  17. Do you support PHP?
    Yes, our linux server supports PHP scripts. File extension of PHP scripts should be ".php".
